The rifle functions, feeds, and fires consistantly. The remainder of the parts look used but not abused, as expected for it's age. Internally the barrel is shiny and the riflings and lans look good for a barrel this age. The barrel is the Buffalo Arms 9-1943 Flaming Bomb stamped original with proof stampings further down the barrel. They have been refinished to original but have no remaining cartouche marks evident just the supplier stampings. The over all cosmetic condition of the original Trimble TN stamped stock and Hand Guard are very good. This book is a must have if you are at all interested in M1 Carbines. Larson titled "Comprehensive Guide - M1 Carbine". I have verified the validity of all components based on information and pictures published in the book by R.C. The rifle I am selling here has all of the correct USGI parts specific to the date of manufacture and serial number range for this specific rifle. Barrels were supplied by six primary suppliers and the stocks and hand guards were made by Trimble Nursery and Furniture Company. M1 Carbine parts manufactured by NPM were the receivers, bolts, trigger housings, and operating slides.
